The congregation of First Presbyterian believes that church camp is a vital part of a young person's Christian development. We live in a world where so many opportunities outside the Christian faith are competing for our young people's attention. Our committment to camping is such that we do not want finances to be a reason for a child not attending camp.
During the spring of each year, our congregation contributes to a Camp Scholarship Fund that enables the church to pay the full cost of camp tuition for each child who wishes to go to camp. The only expense to the family is the cost of transportation. The camp traditionally provides bus transportation for each camp session. |
